The leading live entertainment logistics specialist will sponsor the charity fundraiser, which will feature a star-studded line-up of members from Gorillaz, The XX, and Metronomy as well as an under-eight’s tournament

Rock-it Global, a Global Critical Logistics (GCL) company, is supporting Ravi’s Dream, a charity aimed at raising funds to advance brain tumor research and development, with a charity football match to be held on Sunday 11th June.

Ravi’s Dream was founded by eight-year-old Ravi Adelekan, following the discovery and subsequent surgery of a benign tumor found in his brain stem two years ago.

The charity has already raised over GBP 79,000 towards its GBP 250,000 target.

“Ravi’s Dream is a foundation started by the son of our client Gbenga Adelekan, bass player of Metronomy, and is therefore close to our hearts,” said Harry Calthorpe, Music Touring Sales, Rock-it Global.

“Sponsoring the football match was a natural decision for Rock-it as a rewarding and meaningful cause for our team to be a part of and reinforces our company’s philosophy of cultivating deeper connections with our community.”

Rock-it is a specialty logistics company that provides custom solutions for the live entertainment, theatre, and sports industries, committed to fulfilling its social responsibility.

This sponsorship ties in with its mission to foster positive social impact in the community by advocating volunteer work.

Funds raised by Ravi’s Dream will go towards The Brain Tumour Charity and Brainstrust, which aim to advance medical research into developing cures and treatments for brain tumors with a primary focus on helping children like Ravi who have been diagnosed with similar conditions.

In addition to the football fundraiser, Ravi released a charity version of ‘A Million Dreams’ soundtrack from the movie The Greatest Showman, with the support of artist family friends including Bastille, Hugh Jackman, Coldplay, and Paloma Faith at the end of 2022.

Hosted by Worthing FC and Preston Park Panthers, tickets for the tournament can be booked here. To find out more about Ravi’s Dream, click here.
